This is one of the screens that I made for the Timetables of History demo, showing the Search interface. As you can see, we were going for a kind of 1930's radio-ish aesthetic. This interface wouldn't really be very usable in practice (although I think the histogram up at the top showing the distribution of search results is a really cool idea), but this was intended to be flashy and attention-getting, not practical.

Btw, the icons on the left are copyright to Simon & Schuster, Inc., and are used without permission (especially since we didn't get the contract.)
